It’s no secret my creative talents don’t lie in art, particularly drawing or painting. However, since my best friend has been sending me pictures of her pretty watercolor cards that she’s been doing and it’s my day off, I figured I’d give it a try. Here are the cards I created. Nothing special, but I guess they’re aren’t too bad. It was definitely pretty fun! I’ll try and get better at it, but I need to buy some better brushes first. Have you tried watercolors? 🙂
I apologize for the bad picture quality/background….I was lazy to make it look nice 😛 whoops!
And this is a card I did with pen and coloring pencils (better than the rest, imo!) 😀 ❤
It’s been a Mother’s Day tradition in our family for over ten years to go to Yellowstone for the day (we live pretty close by) and we’ve always seen at least one bear. I think they come out specially for my Mom. 😀
However, yesterday’s trip was special. Why? Because we saw not one, not two, not even seven (our previous Mother’s Day record), but TEN bears! And all in a span of like an hour! They were all black bears, no grizzlies, and we also saw the usual buffalo, elk, deer, pronghorn, etc…. Oh and tourists too, we saw those a lot… 😉
Here are some pictures….hopefully you guys can zoom in on the ones that are a little further away… ❤
Some scraggly elk 🙂
A buffy lol
These pronghorn were running with a herd of elk…
Bear #1 leaving the water
Bears 5 & 6 were sleeping…
This was a mama and three cubs, one of these four was bear #4 from before 🙂
We didn’t get a picture of bear #10….but he was really cute too!
Most of these pictures are credit of my sista….check out her blog: http://www.thelighthouseofessays.wordpress.com
We live close to Yellowstone National Park, so my family and I took a trip to the park on Memorial Day. It was lots of fun, an absolutely gorgeous day, so we had a great time!
We really wanted to see a moose in the park, because we always see them outside the park. And we did! We saw one, and I got some pictures of it. We also saw a black bear. It was small and cute and furry, and even though I am freaked out about bears (yes, I’ve grown up in bear country, know the proper precautions, etc…but I’m still freaked out about them!) this one looked like it wouldn’t harm a fly! Anyway, I know that looks are most definitely deceiving with bears, but it was still cute and it came close to the car so I got some nice shots (camera shots, that is). Continue reading
Here are some more photos I took. Still practicing! Tell me what you think.
I got a camera for my birthday and I’ve been trying to take good looking pictures and practice some tips. I haven’t had much of a chance to get out and try it on landscapes yet, but here are a few pictures that I’ve taken. Tell me what you think! Continue reading
