The “Judy the Bunny Tag”

Hi guys! So I got “tagged” by Leo, a fellow blogger, who made this “Judy the Bunny Tag” when she got a pet bunny! Who is really, super cute! Anyway, here are the rules:

RULES:

-Link back to the person who nominated you and also to the creator of the tag.
-Answer this question: Why do you like Rabbits?
-Post a cute picture or drawing of a bunny (if it isn’t yours, credit it).
-Write a short story or poem about Judy the bunny.
-Post the video Introducing Judy the Bunny.
-Nominate up to 20 people and let them now you’ve nominated them.

I love rabbits because they’re super cute and I just love them!

Judy the bunny hopped all around,

Then went to her home underground.

She was all fuzzy and cute,

But alas, she was mute.

She couldn’t say a thing,

Even when she wanted to sing,

About all the carrots she wanted to eat!

Okay, that was kinda lame, but I can’t write poetry!

You can get the video off of Leo’s blog….and I nominate:

Allison and Emmy.

Thanks, Leo!

Happy Memorial Day!

Hey guys! Happy Memorial Day to all of you! I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend with your family and friends, remembering the incredible, brave men and women who sacrificed everything for our country and our freedom.

I think that remembering those who died, makes us think of those who still live and fight for us each and every day. I am grateful to all those who have died, because it means that we’re still free today. I am grateful to those who serve today, because it means that we’ll be free tomorrow.

Every day, we should think about those who have died in the service of this country and those who still serve. Memorial Day isn’t just once a year, it’s every day that this beautiful country is free. Every day we should take a moment to think of the blessings bestowed upon us, that we live here, in America. And everyday, we should think and remember those who let us live here today. And most of all, we should remember that God is with those that have died, their families, and with those that still serve. He is with each and every one of us, with this country, and with the entire world.

Happy Memorial Day! God Bless America!

-Myriam

P.S. I know I said I’d post every week, and I haven’t and I’m sorry. But I’ve been arranging everything for new job, which I just got, so it’s been a little busy. Sorry! I’ll try to post one this week.

Selling My Jewelry

My website where I sold the jewelry that I make (Myriam’sWesternJewelry) no longer exists. I cancelled it because it wasn’t making me any money, and it cost a lot. So instead of selling at myriamswesternjewelry.com I will hopefully be selling on my Etsy shop. If you’re interested you can check it out here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/MyriamWesternJewelry. I don’t have that much on right now, but I’ll be updating it soon! Also, the email, myriam@myriamswesternjewelry.com, is no longer valid!

What’s been going on……

Hello everybody! It’s been ages since I last posted! I’ve been so busy, but now I’m back and I wanted to tell you all what had been going on. But first, how are you all doing? Are you looking forward to summer? I am. 🙂

So as most of you probably knew, I was homeschooled my entire life, including through high school. This makes high-school graduation and getting into college a bit different. First of all, I decided upon the following as my course of study in college and university.

-Two years at community college for an A.A.S. in Interior Design.

-Then transfer to university (to which community college is an extension) and finish two more years to get a B.S. in Business Managament.

After talking with a couple of people at the university, this option was presented: a four year program where you can earn two degrees. One major plus in the program is that because I am earning a technical degree (I.D.) I don’t need to take any of the standard “core” university classes, such as sociology and phycology. Instead of doing the typical four year route, in which you spend two years basically studying “core” classes, I get to spend them studying something I love, and something that gives me a skill to use to fund the rest of my higher education and after. I’m really excited to start it!

Usually getting into college requires an SAT or ACT, but because I am entering into community college first I only needed to take my GED, or HiSET–the high school equivalency test. Which brings me to the point of why I wasn’t posting. I was studying!

I am really happy to say that the studying payed off and I passed all five of my HiSET tests with amazing scores! The five tests were writing, reading, math, science, and social studies. Out of all of them writing was my weakest, but still a great score.

I graduated from high school on Friday May 12th. And, on the same day, passed my driving test and got my driver’s license. So, I’m done. It all happened at once, but now it’s also all finished at the same time.

Now that I’m finished with school, I want to work over the summer and relax before college starts this fall. Hopefully I’ll be able to write on this blog a lot more. I really want to. And now that I’m done with school, this blog will be more about my hobbies, and what I’m doing. I also want to write about some things I’ve learned about applying for college, scholarships and that kind of stuff; studying tips; my opinions on things.

I’d like to post at least once a week, I think I can do it!

Thanks for reading, and if you haven’t already, please follow me!

Have a great rest of your day!

Myriam
